Something i threw together for a personal project i was working on. I couldn't find any high quality samples of a dragon so i decided to make my own. This was created using ableton and contains the following sounds:a dog growlinga lion roara horse gruntingan elephant vocalisinga flamethrower sound. All sounds used were obtained from royalty free websites and manipulated using software so that the original samples are not identifiable. The combining, layering and processing of the sounds were all done by myself within my daw. I hope those of you who find this are able to make great use of it. Extracted from camera recorded content, tidied up with audacity mono and noisegate. . . I also listen for problems and cherry pick to avoid weird sounds. . No rubbish dry sample. If you want to use these sorts of sounds (good for games or video), remeber adding reverb back is the trick to making the sound big again.

Here's a vocal sample of "hydrochloric acid" ran through audioterm and sent to a waldorf blofeld as a wavetable. The blofeld pitches up and then scans the wavetable (via mod wheel, so it's fun), which plays out what you hear here, plus a fair bit of outboard verb. Sounds like a vocoder but it's not. As opposed to traditional samplers the pitch is independent of the playback rate / length of the sample.

My nightstand's lamp is an antique, it works electrically but also has a hole to use oil with it. This is the sound of me turning it off and on then unscrewing the cap on the hole. Could be used as interesting found-sound percussion, very similar to my oil drum sounds.

Here was my attempt to simulate the kicks used by hip hop producer don cannon. Fully synthesized, no samples here. But, as stated in the title, i did gate the sound in order to get more attack.
